KANNA
Travel Magazine
With the objective of creating an intriguing yet sophisticated look, I created a magazine dedicated to Iceland's beauty and wonders. The main focus for this assignment was to find interesting ways to use type; creating strong titles and title treatments, utilizing paragraph and character styles, maintaining consistency, etc.
I had fun designing the table of contents - working with the image of the geyser to inspire the layout of the table of contents.
Each spread was created with the challenge of configuring text in interesting ways by using columns.

Sketches & Drafts
To organize my ideas, I created a book map, deliberately labeling each page in their designated spot. Sketching out each individual page gave me further direction before I tackled the project digitally.
Using columns in my sketches gave me a better idea of what I needed and where I needed to fit it.
